Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. is currently integrating a new Centralized File System on our shop floor. This integration is just one of the many changes our company is implementing that has been prompted by our recent Kaizen Team. As a group, with the input of Senior Management and Division Leaders, we collectively decided that putting a Centralized File System in place to retain all of our job folders was key to continuing our effort to become as lean as possible. Every folder containing all the necessary essentials to begin and run a job successfully will now be in one location; this will not only save a significant amount of time searching, but it will also create a much more organized manner in which we retain this very important documentation. Another crucial element being implemented along with the new filing system is the standardization of all the documents that reside in the folder. One employee will be designated as in charge of the new filing system to ensure it is maintained properly and that all new procedures associated with it are followed at all times. Our team is very excited and anxious to put our new system in place and measure the success we know will come along with it. At Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. we believe that consistency, organization, standardization, and lean manufacturing principles all play vital roles in the future success of our company. We will continue to evolve and strive to improve upon all of the above areas in every way possible in order to always maintain our high level of quality and our strategic goals of shortening lead times.
