On-site Lean Assessment Class

On February 14, 2012, Professor Mark Doman and his Oakland University Lean Assessment Team visited Fitzpatrick Mfg. This visit was a little different from any in the past because several members of the Fitzpatrick team had the opportunity to sit in on an actual lean class being taught by the Professor in our on-site classroom. We believe the visit was fruitful for all, as we were able to give the students a tour of our facility and educate them on how we run our business.  Also, the Professor was able to open our minds and enlighten us on “lean thinking” while giving us some wonderful suggestions and tools to maintain and build upon our high standard of quality and commitment to continuous improvement. We would like to thank Professor Doman and his class for the highly educational visit, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the OU Lean Team.
