Green Improvements Made in 2019

In 2019, Fitzpatrick Mfg. made four large strides in decreasing our fixed costs as well as our environmental impact. Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. made improvements in coolant use and reduction. We also completed three major projects decreasing our company’s electricity consumption. These changes include a company-wide change over to LED lighting, which was completed in Q1 of 2019. The new lighting is much brighter than the predecessor T5HO lighting, which is an additional bonus. A new air compressor with variable frequency drives with PLC logic to idle the machine during non business hours was added late Q1 of 2019. And finally, 2019 was the first summer where we were able to use our new RTU (roof top units) air conditioners also equipped with variable frequency drives. These units also provide a more even temperature throughout out the shop while delivering a controlled air flow.
