In an effort to continue to be a green company, Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. has completely converted our entire shop floor from T5HO four lamp fixtures to LED high bay lighting. This switch over was completed after experimenting with LED fixtures on the shop floor over the past 18 months to test the longevity of the LED fixtures, monitor light degradation, and make sure there are no other unintended consequences of LED lighting in a manufacturing floor environment. Approximately eight years ago, we changed our entire shop floor to T5HO fixtures; this change over resulted in a roughly 45% savings in lighting costs for our company. This most recent technology change to LED can reduce our lighting costs further by reducing our energy usage an additional 50% as compared with T5HO.
