In an effort to continue to be a green company, Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. has changed over 50 of our T5HO 4 lamp fixtures to LED high bay lighting. This switch over is an experiment to test the longevity of the LED fixtures, monitor light degradation, and make sure there are no other unintended consequences of LED lighting in a manufacturing floor environment. Approximately eight years ago, we changed our entire shop floor to T5HO fixtures; this change over resulted in a roughly 45% savings in lighting costs for our company. This technology change to LED can reduce our lighting costs by reducing our lighting cost another 50% as compared with T5HO.
