Earlier this year, Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. conducted an audit of our recycling programs. We discovered that a conservative 35% of our trash was cardboard and paper. We decided it was time to put a new paper and plastic recycling program into place within our organization. We have replaced two of our trash dumpsters with recycling dumpsters, added a few small hoppers for cardboard, and dispersed plastic bottle recycling bins in every division throughout the shop. We are happy to announce that after only a few months, our new paper and plastic recycling program is a success, as it has reduced our trash waste by over 65%.
