Mike Fitzpatrick’s father started the company in 1952 with just two machines and an intense drove to build a successful company, and this year we proudly celebrate our 61 anniversary. While our company is considered a “job shop,” customers and industry experts agree that it doesn’t look like any job shop they’ve seen or worked with before. Today, Fitzpatrick Manufacturing Company is one of Michigan’s largest contract manufacturers, with more than 100 machines, an 80,000 square foot facility, and an elite team of roughly 95 employees.
Fitzpatrick learned early on that in order to grow the company, they had to build a responsible, flexible team that could easily anticipate the challenges of the industry and continuously adapt to new technologies, new processes, and the needs of customers. In 2002, we celebrated our 50th anniversary with an amazing new building, and now in 2013, we are celebrating the evolution of our company with the passing of the torch to our two new owners, Kevin LaComb and Derek Owings. Both Derek and Kevin have been with the company for over 15 years. Mike Fitzpatrick was the president/owner of Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. for over 40 years and has made this company what it is today. Now looking into the future, Derek Owings and Kevin LaComb will continue to lead Fitzpatrick down the path of continued success and growth while always maintaining the tradition of exceptional quality in everything we do.
