Employees receive 7 weeks of training in “Checking Instruments Level 2”
This class is approximately 7 weeks long meeting for an hour once per week. This class is presented in Power Point format and is a graded class consisting of 5 quizzes and a 70 question written final. Checking Instruments Level 2 covers the cost, care, proper use, set-up, calibration, accuracy, transportation and selection of the following instruments:
- Height gages
- Surface plates
- Dial bore gages
- Pocket surf
- Gage blocks
- Thread mics
- Dial groove gages
- Temperature compensation
- Fowler ID gun
This class was in September and was taught by Ralph Bowers.
Ralph Bowers has been employed with Fitzpatrick Mfg. Co. since 1991. He spent 12 years working in CNC Milling and Turning and has currently spent his last 8 years working in the Quality Control department as one of our most valued Inspectors. Ralph has also been the Training and Education Coordinator for the past 6 years.
