Quality is not just part of what we do; quality is our ultimate goal and intrinsic to ALL that we do.
Why are we so focused on quality?
First and most importantly, internal efficiencies on our part mean a higher quality product at a lower cost for our customers. And second, it’s not profitable (or fun for that matter) to do things twice! We much prefer to do things right the first time.
How do we achieve such a high level of quality?
The easy answer is this… the right people implement the right processes using the best equipment. The more complex answer is this…
Our expert technicians employ our own innovative manufacturing and inspection techniques, and the latest, most efficient CNC machines. The end products are parts that are quickly and precisely manufactured. One of the reasons our customers call us “Sticklers for Quality” is because with every one of our jobs, we inspect three times – at the first piece, in process (during the machining process), and at final inspection.
On our manufacturing floor, we have a dedicated in-process inspection lab. Here parts are checked independently from the machine cells. This will ensure the instruments at the machine cell correspond to the instruments in the in-process inspection lab. This is very important with extremely close tolerances.
When parts are finished, they are examined in every conceivable way in our dedicated inspection lab. In this climate controlled area at 68°F, our technicians use the following equipment:
- Brown and Sharpe Coordinate Measuring Machine
- Oasis CoreX2 optical gaging system
- Video Microscope Systems with up to 375 times magnification
- Brinell and Rockwell testers
- MTI Contour Measuring instruments
- Brown Sharpe Microhites
- Tesa Profilometers
- Laser micrometers
- Standard mechanical layout equipment
We make sure to meet and maintain the highest possible standards. Our quality management system strictly adheres to the following regulatory requirements:
- AS 9100 Rev. C compliant
- ISO 9001: 2015
- ITAR compliant for the defense industry
- Commercial And Government Entity Code 5ABF0
We also demand that our key suppliers meet our standards, as well as any special certifications for their specific industries when necessary.
